Built and established in 1845, Our building was originally "Centenary Methodist Episcopal Church" which was the first church in Marion, Ohio. Upon the development of the railway system throughout Marion The church choose to move locations due to at the time the location not being suitable for hosting quiet church services during prime railway hours. Upon the church moving across downtown, Marion local and industrialist/inventor Edward Huber purchased the property to expand his brand "The Huber Manufacturing Company" from 1866 until forming The Marion Power Shovel.
